Mandela Day – 2019

For Mandela Day 18 July 2019, the Vantage Capital team visited the Dlala Nje in Hillbrow. Founded in October 2012, the Dlala Nje organisation aims to challenge perceptions and create opportunities for children and youth through inner-city immersions and experiences in some of our city’s most misunderstood areas. These immersions and walks have allowed them to build and run a community centre aimed at providing a safe learning environment. Our team enjoyed a fun-filled day with the children, creating colourful cards for the elderly in the community. Funds raised by Vantage Capital company and staff members were used to purchase blankets for a nearby old age home which were delivered by the children. Adding to this, a generous donation was made by Vantage Capital towards the building of a workbench for the community centre, creating further growth and opportunity.
