Thivesan Govender

Fund Accountant

Thivesan Govender

Thivesan joined Vantage in 2018 as a Fund Accountant. He completed his articles at PWC at the end of 2017. He also served the first year of articles as an Academic Article Clerk at the University of Kwazulu-Natal (UKZN) Westville.

Thivesan is a qualified CA (SA) and holds a Bcom (Accounting) degree, completed summa cum laude and a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting (PDGA) from UKZN, having achieved Deans Commendations in all three years of his undergraduate studies.

Lauren Handler

Financial Manager

Lauren Handler

Lauren joined Vantage in 2008 as Financial Manager.

She began her career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers where she spent six years gaining valuable auditing and accounting experience. Lauren then moved into commerce where she was employed by various companies including Gray Security Services, Chubb Security, Lithotech, Virgin Mobile, Gearhouse and Finwood Papers.

Lauren is a qualified FCIS (Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators) and received her diploma in 1995.

Simbongile Mapasa

Simbongile Mapasa

Simbongile joined Vantage in June 2024. He completed his articles at PwC in Dec 2023.

Simbongile is a qualified CA (SA) and hold a Bachelor of Accounting degree (Cum Laude) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA) from University of Johannesburg.

Thubelihle Langa

Fund Accountant

Thubelihle Langa

Thubelihle joined Vantage in January 2026. She completed her articles at PwC in December 2024, and was thereafter employed at Stonehage Fleming.

Thubelihle is a qualified Professional Accountant (SA) and Tax Practitioner (SA). She holds a BCom Honours degree in Financial Accountancy from North-West University. She was also part of the Golden Key International Honour Society which honours the top 15% students.

Mamphasane Mphasane

Accountant

Mamphasane Mphasane

Mamphasane joined Vantage in March 2025. She completed her articles at PWC in Dec 2022. She was appointed as an Accountant and working as a Business Analyst at J and R Accountants in 2023.

Mamphasane is a qualified Professional Accountants (SA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) in Financial Accounting undergraduate degree and a B.Com Honours degree. She was also part of the Golden Key International Honour Society which recognises / honours top 15% students.

Pumla Ngete

Financial Clerk

Pumla Ngete

Pumla joined Vantage in 2004 as a Finance Clerk. Between 1995 and 1998, she completed her Senior Education diploma at Vista University (Port Elizabeth Campus). While at Vista she was appointed as a Gender Officer on the SRC. From 2000 Pumla was employed at African Bank as a Receptionist. Pumla holds a diploma in Office Administration and Bookkeeping.

Chevonne Maree

Events & Travel Coordinator

Chevonne Maree

Chevonne Maree joined Vantage in 2025.

She oversees corporate travel arrangements for the company and provides executive support to the Chairman and Managing Partner. In addition, Chevonne ensures the efficient day-to-day management of the office and offers assistance to the wider investment team when required.

Prior to joining Vantage, she spent ten years in the hospitality sector, where she gained extensive experience as an Events Coordinator and Manager at several leading establishments, including Asara Wine Estate and Hotel, The President Hotel, The Houghton Hotel, and The Venue Melrose Arch.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Life Sciences from the University of Stellenbosch.

Fikile Mnguni

Company Driver

Fikile Mnguni

Fikile joined Vantage Capital as a driver, assisting with various errands within the company.

She previously worked at Embroidery Haven for six years, where she managed embroidery order deliveries across Gauteng. She then expanded her experience at Ginja Gemere, handling national deliveries for three years.
